		WE'RE ON FACEBOOK.... OK, it’s easy to get excited about this, but Facebook provides a much faster, easier and better way for us all to share the camping lifestyle than our webpage ever could, even with the updates and changes we’re making which you can read about in another part of this newsletter. Why ?(I was hoping you’d ask)-- Because it’s interactive- you can post comments, camping stories, pictures of your kid eating dirt by the playground (“that was dirt wasn’t it honey…?”), or where you found the best Nanaimo bars— and you can post that YouTube video of your cousin flipping his kayak when he tried to splash you or how about a Video you shot of spawning Salmon in the Nanaimo River, just minutes from your site... Share your love of camping with us all- it is a social activity and Facebook ain’t called a social network for nothing! For our part, updating our Living Forest webpage means bothering our computer guru to find time to open up the beast and type in all those weird characters that somehow translate into new changes you see online from time to time. OK, you can share stuff with us and everyone else on our new Facebook page, and we can instantly let you know stuff around here as it happens – but what about the FREE STUFFFFFF! Have you ever thought- “boy, I really like RV’s- sure wish somebody would give me something free just ‘cause I like RV’s so much.” Well, if that’s you- now it could happen, thanks to our new Living Forest Facebook page (I’m pretty sure I hear trumpets playing a fanfare now…). Simply click the "like" icon in the Facebook info to the right. If you are already a Facebook user, you know what to do. If you're not, the link will take you through the process of getting signed up. Be sure to come back and "Like" the Living Forest for you chance to win. Each time we get another hundred new Facebook friends who click ‘LIKE’ we will do a random draw from the pool of Living Forest Facebook fans and give them: two free nights camping- the very thing we all love to do. The sooner you LIKE our Facebook page, the sooner the prizes start being given away, and the earlier you enter, the more draws you’ll be eligible to win! Tell your friends, tell you’re family, tell total strangers- but tell somebody to let the winning begin! We will run lots of little giveaways too- no, not a new RV, more like coffee mugs or free latte’s or firewood or kayak rentals- any free stuff’s fun, right? Not on Facebook? Well how the heck do you keep track of what your kids and grandkids are really up to? Joining Facebook is pretty painless and easy to do- just visit Facebook.com, there’s plenty of information about creating a free account and how to set up privacy settings you’re comfortable with. In all seriousness, we’re really excited about the Living Forest growing into a place where campers can share and learn from each others experiences.
